Everyone who uses a vehicle on the road is required to keep it in a roadworthy condition. The purpose of the MOT Test is to ensure that cars, other light vehicles (including some Light Goods Vehicles), private buses and motorcycles over a prescribed age are checked at least once a year to see that they comply with key roadworthiness and environmental requirements.

When your car is tested, the MOT looks at some important items to see if it meets the legal requirements. The MOT certificate is not a guarantee of the general mechanical condition of a vehicle however.

We are a Class IV vehicle testing station which allows us to test the following petrol and diesel vehicles:

Cars up to 8 passenger seats
Motor Caravans
PSVs (Public Service Vehicles) up to 8 seats
Goods Vehicles (up to 3,000kg DGW)
Ambulances and Taxis
Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles may be subject to additional local requirements
Private Passenger Vehicles and Ambulances 9-12 seats

We offer 14 days free re-test, discounted MOTs and carry out MOT repair work on site.

We can deal with any repairs needed to enable your vehicle to pass the MOT test including welding. We offer this service regardless of whether we carried out the MOT test or not and we will be delighted to give you a no obligation quote prior to starting any work. There will be some occassions when we are not able to provide a quote because we need to strip things down to obtain a cause of fault. We will always advise as much information as possible.
